Stuart Meltzer attended
Tulane University from 1980-81, graduated
from Boston University in 1984 with a BA in political science and
from Brooklyn Law School in 1987 with a Juris Doctorate.
At the age of 30 Stuart Meltzer was admitted to practice law
in New York, Florida, Massachusetts and Connecticut Bars. He is
also admitted in the following Federal Courts: SDNY, EDNY and SDFL.
As an experienced trial litigator, Stuart Meltzer has tried to
verdict numerous criminal and civil cases. He is also a certified
Civil Court Arbitrator in the City of New York and has presided
over many cases deciding substantial justice in each case. Meltzer
has also successfully represented clients in major criminal cases
throughout New York. He represents clients in both state and
federal judicial systems and serves as a public defender
protecting the rights of the accused in Brooklyn, NY. Meltzer
practices in a variety of accident, tort, civil rights, business,
bankruptcy and civil disputes and oversees a clientele where his
goal is sophisticated advocacy.
Stuart Meltzer is a member of the New York Bar, New York
Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and New York Trial Lawyers
Association. He is a member of the Board of the Equal Parenting
Party (
www.equalparentingparty.org),
a national parents and children’s rights organization, the Parents
Justice Center (parentsjusticecenter.org), a regionally based
organization dedicated to protecting civil rights, a member of the
NYC Young Republicans, former Nassau County Family Court Judge
candidate and has appeared multiple times as legal commentator on
CNN’s Nancy Grace Show. Meltzer has also appeared multiple times
as guest host on the Families in Transition cable program and
more.
Meltzer is also the proud loving father of two children and an
avid waterman enjoying surfing, boating, fishing and diving.
